Demoralising

Our most recent result can be described in just one word. Demoralising. The side showed a lack of conviction and dedication to see the game through, this was very reminscent of last year where we would throw matches away that we could, would and should win. As a Liverpool fan I have two thought’s about the performance and result. Firstly how have we managed to go from 3 -0 up with ten minutes left to draw to a side we beat 3-1 comfoprtbale earlier this year. Secondally, the lack of skill and awareness from the defensive players is appauling they should be ashamed of themselves and should be prepared to apologies to theĀ supporters for the loss of our first ever premier league title which was assuredly AnfieldĀ

Jose Slips Up

As mentioned previously, I wished Jose the best with his Champions League endeavours low and behold they’ve been knocked out to a team that previously could not unlock the Chelsea back door. The Chelsea, park the bus mantra was none existent against Atletico who wielded the sword that saw them concede 3 goals at home seeing them lose for the second time at home under Mourinho a feat them and only Sunderland have surpassed. Where did it go wrong for them? Firstly, could anyone honestly say that they would keep Diego Costa quiet for a total of 180 minutes, not even the die-hard Chelsea fans would be that ludicrous? The next issue being did Mourinho really think that Simeone would really sit back and watch his side attack with no avail once again with them just needing one away goal for Chelsea to come out of their shell?.

Mourinho is well known for his meticulous planning before a game but I don’t even think he was prepared for what would unfold after the introduction of Samuel Eto’o, the Cameroonian giving away the penalty which saw the Spanish super striker add another to his already impressive tally for the season. I think it’s convenient that Mourinho said Rodgers got his tactics wrong but Liverpool remain in the title hunt whereas, Mourinho sees his side out of the Champions League and the title race.
